Out of a total of 28 applications, 10 projects have been selected —three under the individual space modality and seven in shared space—, consolidating the High Technology Incubator in Bioeconomy and Circular Economy as a leading hub for sustainable technological solutions applied to bioeconomy and circular economy. The selected initiatives range from biotechnology applied to organic waste recycling to new agricultural valorization processes, driving the creation of innovative and sustainable businesses across Extremadura.
Over the next 12 months, the selected teams will work from the incubator’s facilities, gaining access to its scientific and technological equipment and receiving specialized mentoring to validate prototypes, optimize production processes, and prepare for industrial scaling. They will also benefit from tailored training in business development and the support of a regional network of scientific and technological collaboration, fostering knowledge transfer and market readiness.
Another 12 approved projects will remain on a waiting list, with the opportunity to join the incubation and acceleration program at a later stage.
With this new call, the Incubator strengthens its role as a driving force for a greener, more competitive, and digital economy. The selected projects not only promote more efficient use of natural resources but also position Extremadura at the forefront of sustainable innovation in Europe.
